    Freezer cabinets make it possible to freeze cooked and raw food in bars, restaurants and businesses. They are smaller in size than classic freezer cabinets, making them an excellent space-saving solution in smaller premises.

    They reach a negative operating temperature of up to -25°C for some models. Inside, they contain two or more grids for storing food.

    Some special features of freezer cabinets are:

    • transparent glass or solid door
    • motor resistance up to an external temperature of +38°C;
    • ventilated or static type refrigeration;
    • variable capacity up to 140 litres.

    Freezer cabinets: ventilated or static refrigeration?

    Ventilated refrigeration creates a cold climate inside the freezer cabinet thanks to an evaporator that draws in warm outside air via a fan and lowers the temperature. This results in dry, moisture-free cold.

    Static refrigeration, on the other hand, provides a more humid cold. The cold is created by a plate placed inside the appliance.

    How freezer cabinets work

    Freezer cabinets operate like a normal freezer: you set the temperature to the desired level and the refrigeration will lower the temperature to the desired degree. When the temperature is reached, the freezer cabinet will stop producing cold and maintain the set degree. Each time the internal temperature rises, cooling will be triggered again after a certain threshold to lower it.

    Storing frozen food properly is essential to avoid wasting food and to provide high quality food. Even frozen food has an expiry date: 3 to 6 months for meat, 1 to 2 months for fish, 6 to 10 months for fruit and vegetables. It is a good idea to label each bag with the start date of refrigeration so that you always have an eye on the expiry date. The cleaning of the freezer cabinet is similar to that of a classic freezer: the cabinet is emptied and cleaned with a soft cloth and a non-aggressive detergent, which should be wiped over every shelf inside.
