Drawn Ice C ube Producers are machines for the production of Nugget-type ice cubes, cylindrical in shape and with a half-smooth, half-drawn surface, suitable for cooling cocktails and drinks by the glass.

Features of Drawn Ice Cube Makers

The drawn ice cube maker, also called pilé ice machine, produces light-weight ice cubes with a double surface: one part is smooth and solid, the other part is 'scratched' due to the auger that scrapes the ice from the inner surface of the evaporator, precisely to create this characteristic shape.

The result is Nugget ice, cylindrical nuggets that combine the grainy shape with the smooth shape of cubes. This type of ice is suitable for maintaining the cold temperature in drinks served by the glass: it melts slowly and takes up little space inside the glass.

Drawn ice can also be used for the preparation of milkshakes and frozen yoghurt. The drawn ice cube machine is therefore useful for pubs as well as ice cream parlours, bars and pastry shops.

As far as its structure is concerned, the machine consists of some basic components such as:

air filter,
anti-dust system,
water self-recharge.

The voltage type is single-phase; our Nuggets cube machines reach a daily production capacity of over 400 kg. The cooling method can be water or air, depending on the production requirements of the bar, pub or restaurant.

The machinery is made of stainless steel, in compliance with current legislation regarding material contact with foodstuffs. All machines are CE-marked.

How to clean the drawn ice cube machine

Cleaning the Nugget ice machine requires the machine to be switched off and completely empty. The internal tank can be cleaned with just water or a non-aggressive detergent, rinsed thoroughly, and soft cloths. The filters should be cleaned periodically to ensure the best operation of the machine. Make sure that the trays are well dried before putting it back into operation.
