    The chocolate fountain or dripper can be included among the most popular kitchen appliances on the market. The pouring machine consists of a central column to which are attached concave trays (usually three) of different sizes: the top one is the smallest, the lower ones are larger. At the base of the 18/10 - AISI 304 stainless steel structure is the bowl that collects the chocolate that flows from the mechanism (located inside the column) and pushes the liquid cocoa upwards.

    Melting the chocolate

    Although many fountains are designed to accommodate chocolate tablets to be melted, it is recommended that already melted chocolate be placed in the base bowl. To melt chocolate, the bain-marie technique is the most recommended, but the same operation can also be performed in the oven or by using the convenience of the microwave if you wish to shorten preparation time. When the chocolate is melted, simply pour it into the container at the base of the fountain and turn on the switch.

    Immediately the chocolate will be sucked into the central column and after a few seconds it will be seen cascading down the sides of the unit. When the chocolate reaches the base container, it will be sucked back into the central column in a continuous cycle until the machine is switched off.

    Can I only use chocolate inside the fountain?

    Many chocolate f ountains can also be used to create flows of caramel, fruit syrup or liqueurs such as Cointreau or Grand Marnier. For savoury lovers, some of these machines can also be used to create a cascade of melted cheese to make tasty Mexican nachos.
